Curt and I went to see a screening of Roman Polanski's film, Noz w wodzie, or 'Knife in the Water' from 1962. It's basically about a couple who goes sailing and invites a young drifter along for the ride. Lots of sexual tension, but it's really good.
I watched another really interesting movie with Curt more recently on cable called Straw Dogs(1971). It was directed by Sam Peckinpah (which, by the way, sounds like a made-up name) and it stars Dustin Hoffman. It's really interesting and I think it's become one of my favorite films to date for whatever reason. It's about a couple who moves to England and the people working on their house end up raping Dustin Hoffman's wife. But here's the twist: she sort of likes it. In the end there's an epic battle where Dustin Hoffman kills something like 10 men. So check it out. Also, the poster is really great:
