Coyote
This is the coyote that hangs out around the salon, chasing the bunnies that live in all the bushes and gutters.

So You Think You Can Dance
I'm sort of obsessed with this guy...who didn't make it to the top twenty but looks like a Nick I know:
And, this routine is from last season, but I've always loved this choreography.

Lover, You Should've Come Over
This isn't necessarily my favorite song (although it's up there) but I've decided these are my favorite lyrics.
(Jeff Buckley)
Looking out the door
I see the rain fall upon the funeral mourners
Parading in a wake of sad relations
As their shoes fill up with water
Maybe I'm too young
To keep good love from going wrong
But tonight, you're on my mind so
You never know
Broken down and hungry for your love
With no way to feed it
Where are you tonight?
Child, you know how much I need it.
Too young to hold on
And too old to just break free and run
Sometimes a man gets carried away,
When he feels like he should be having his fun
Much too blind to see the damage he's done
Sometimes a man must awake to find that, really,
He has no-one...
So I'll wait for you... And I'll burn
Will I ever see your sweet return?
Oh, will I ever learn?
Oh, Lover, you should've come over
Cause it's not too late.
Lonely is the room the bed is made
The open window lets the rain in
Burning in the corner is the only one
Who dreams he had you with him
My body turns and yearns for a sleep
That won't ever come
It's never over,
My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder
It's never over,
all my riches for her smiles when I slept so soft against her...
It's never over,
All my blood for the sweetness of her laughter...
It's never over,
She's a tear that hangs inside my soul forever...
But maybe I'm just too young to keep good love
From going wrong
Oh... lover you should've come over...
Yes, and I feel too young to hold on
I'm much too old to break free and run
Too deaf, dumb, and blind
To see the damage I've done
Sweet lover, you should've come over
Oh, love, well I'll wait for you
Lover, you should've come over
'Cause it's not too late.

Can't Complain.
Today is probably the first really really nice day here that hasn't shown signs of rain (or snow. or hail) halfway through the day. AND! I just found this song that Matthew wrote for a project on my computer. (those back-up vocals are me :) Anyways, the song seemed like a good theme song for the day. Enjoy.

"You Don't Call Your Grandma 'Grandma'"
You say you look like your grandma (don't film me)
I said that you do not look like your grandma
Maybe you look like your grandma (oh your grandma)
My grandma lives in the desert
You have another grandma. She lives somewhere...
You don't call your grandma 'grandma
Cuz she's crazy.

Tax Returns
Okay, so I know I just bought stuff from Modcloth, BUT! I just received my tax returns, and managed to completely pay off TWO credit cards ENTIRELY...And I've been watching these boots for weeks, waiting for them to go on sale. And they did! Just today, the price was cut IN HALF. So...I bought 'em. And I'll love them. And I want to dress like this girl everyday.

It's weird how good these kids are at this. I wonder how many hours they spent practicing this. Nevertheless:

(You're) Having My Baby
Searched wikipedia for the worst songs ever and this was one of the songs they listed. It's pretty bad.
They also listed 'I Want My Baby Back' by Jimmy Cross (circa 1960s) which, granted, I think it's sort of a parody song, still.....it's sooooo bad and creepy as well---about he and 'his baby' getting in a car crash and then he digs her up and climbs in her casket to get her back......
......rigghhhhtttt......that's hilarrriouss.

New Favorite Recipe
Chicken Marsala
4 chicken breasts
1 c Marsala wine
1 tbsp flour
2 tbsp parsley
1/4 c bread crumbs
1/4 c grated Parmesan
1 tsp paprika
salt & pepper to taste
2 tbsp butter (or more to taste)
Preheat oven to 350
Mix parsley, paprika, bread crumbs, parmesan, paprika, salt and pepper on a plate to dip chicken in. (I usually also add in other seasonings to taste) Roll chicken in dry mix and place in baking dish. Dot all the chicken with butter, cover with foil and put in the oven for 30 min. Uncover and then cook an additional 15 min.
While chicken is cooking last 15min, you can cook pasta or whatever you want to eat w/ the chicken. when chicken is done, take breasts out of the pan and set aside on serving dishes. Pour the marsala wine INTO the baking dish and scrape the bottom before pouring contents into a saucepan (this is where all the flavor is) Add the flour and butter to the wine in the saucepan and simmer for about 10 min.
Then SERVE.
This is really fast and easy and SO delicious and I've cooked the chicken and sauce differently each time and I think it's basically impossible to mess up. I've only tried this recipe with Sweet Marsala Wine, not the dry kind but I'm sure either is delicious.

Robot Lovestory
The LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers.
By far the weirdest ''dance'' show I've ever seen. I just watched the entire first season on hulu.
It's really embarrassing to watch because they try to make everything so epic.
Regardless, I couldn't stop watching it; the cinematography is really pretty though--no clue where they got the funding.

A Life Update in Digital
So on Thursday, a pipe burst in our building...water was dripping from the light fixtures and seeping out the walls. Just so you know, if this ever happens to you; this is what you're in for:
For Matthew's last birthday in November, I took him to the Melting Pot. It was delicious. My cocktail was good as well.
We got to ride around in this bad boy last time we were in Glenwood. My parent's 1965 Lincoln Continental---it's fly. (that's my house)
Matthew refinished one of his guitars (it was originally bright purple with a white pick guard) it was so much more handsome when he finished but he ended up selling it :'(
